Event Description

This psychoanalytic group therapy focuses on the emotional and relational challenges of migration, offering a supportive space to explore issues such as marital tensions, parenting in a new culture, unresolved family conflicts, career identity struggles, and feelings of loneliness or isolation. Through group dynamics, participants gain self-awareness, relational insight, and practical tools to foster personal growth and develop more adaptive strategies for navigating life in a new country.

Learning Objectives

Explore group dynamics to recognize and understand relational patterns shaped by past and migration-related experiences, and develop healthier, more adaptive ways of interacting in a new cultural context.

Resolve emotional challenges through supportive, corrective experiences within the group, fostering healthier emotional processing and more constructive ways of relating to others.

Integrate insights into daily life by applying self-awareness and relational understanding to real-world situations, strengthening relationships with family, friends, and the broader community.

Foster growth and belonging by reducing isolation, building connections, and gaining practical tools to navigate challenges, improve relationships, and enhance personal well-being.

Target Audiences

This group therapy is ideal for individuals who want to:

  • Break free from dysfunctional relationship patterns.
  • Work through unresolved emotional challenges.
  • Develop healthier ways of interacting with others.
  • Deepen their understanding of personal emotions and vulnerabilities.
  • Build meaningful and supportive connections in a safe group setting.

The program is especially beneficial for those adjusting to life after migration, as it supports personal growth, enhances self-perception, and fosters more adaptive relationships in a new cultural environment.
